How to Brush Teeth Properly?

Dişler Nasıl Fırçalanır?The best way of maintaining oral hygiene is brushing teeth twice a day and using dental floss.

Brushing and flossing enables the removal of the sticky layer of residue called plaque which is deposited on the teeth and gums. Dental plaque produces acid and toxins that may damage the teeth and gums.

Using mouthwash can also help fight against dental plaque. You should consult your dentist if you are concerned about which types of oral care products to use.

Here are a few suggestions to reap the greatest benefits from your tooth brushing routine:

Brush your teeth at least twice a day with toothpaste that contains fluoride. Place particular importance on cleaning the rear teeth as they may have greater plaque deposits.

Use a soft bristled toothbrush. While brushing your teeth, apply soft strokes to prevent damaging your teeth.

Replace your toothbrush every 3 months. Damaged bristles on your toothbrush will clean less plaque.

Brush your tongue to eliminate bad odors. Brush with gentle strokes from the rear towards the front.

After you apply toothpaste to the tip of the brush, turn on the brush once it is in your oral cavity and facing your teeth in order to prevent toothpaste from spattering around.

Slowly clean the surfaces of your teeth spending a few seconds on each teeth. Apply the brush gently, in a manner that will enable the bristles to do most of the cleaning work.

Hold the brush horizontally and slowly move it around on the gum line. Spend a few seconds on each tooth.

Move the brush from one tooth to the other to cover the whole of the inner surfaces. Hold the brush for a longer period of time when cleaning the inner surface of the front cutting teeth as this is an are of the mouth where tartar usually forms.
